Hand Eye Technologies’ proprietary software platform, Hand Eye Interactive Technology (HIT), enables mobile devices and “Smart Phones” to interact with most any video display system – including projection displays, computer monitors and television sets, including LCD and plasma screens.

Just by pointing a mobile device at the TV screen or computer display, end users can interact and transact with digital content.  With Hand Eye software, a camera-enabled Smart Phone, such as the RIM Blackberry, the Apple iPhone or the Nokia N Series, can target and manipulate on-screen objects in the same way that a mouse controls the cursor on a PC.

HIT client software is present on the Smart Phone/mobile device used for on-screen targeting, and HIT server code is also resident on the Set Top Box (STB) or other device (server) that controls the video display or TV – to form a complete, 2-way system.  Hand Eye’s patent-pending image processing technology ascertains the specific on-screen object that the end user is pointing to, determines screen location and discerns potential and possible actions for each encoded on-screen object.

HIT is a software-only solution, which leverages existing, ubiquitous hardware and is easily ported to various mobile phone operating systems.  All Hand Eye code is lightweight, written for streamlined download, deployment and management.
