The Hand Eye Interactive Technology (HIT) software platform has been created to enable transformation of desktop applications into Collaborative Tools.
Hand Eye’s core two-way interactivity technology enables a “Smart Phone” or other mobile device to accomplish traditional “mouse” movements on any video display screen – such as selection, insertion, drag-and-drop and annotation.
HIT’s image-processing capability allows the user to hold a mobile device in the air – wirelessly moving the cursor on-screen, just as a mouse user would move the cursor on a desktop or laptop PC. HIT is a software-only solution that makes collaboration simple, leveraging industry-standard Smart Phones and camera-equipped mobile devices, computers and any type of common display device, such as LCD, plasma or projection displays.
Enabling HIT capabilities within applications will create endless new forms of collaboration and interactivity between people and digital devices. A unique point of differentiation is that Hand Eye’s image processing capability enables multiple users to simultaneously manipulate objects in the digital domain. Enabling this sort of true, multi-user collaboration will drive innovation and new revenue streams, as HIT technology becomes embedded in various applications.
Intelligence within HIT enables tracking of authorship, so that annotations made on screen can be attributed to each unique user for tracking and auditing purposes. The HIT system creates a companion file that is linked to the on-screen document, thereby enabling user-generated changes to “travel” with the document/file.
HIT will enable end-users to be more collaborative, creative and efficient – taking edits directly from the screen to the finished document, without additional, manual input processes. Proprietary technology within HIT includes language-based smoothing algorithms and learning capabilities that enable faster and more accurate capture of user inputs, making the HIT system highly efficient when recording annotations and other data.

Architecture & Manufacturing:
Currently, designers must place transparent overlays on CAD drawings and plans, to manually “mark up” changes to be input later by hand. HIT capabilities will enable end users to mark up drawings and dynamically create objects, within existing CAD application packages.
HIT will enable multiple participants to make edits via Smart Phone/mobile device, digitally storing and logging session changes – thereby eliminating a cumbersome manual process – increasing efficiency, reducing overall cost and speeding time to completion.

Interactive White Board:
As collaborative meeting tools, Interactive White Boards can be clumsy and awkward – participants must be present at the board to make changes, and those changes must be manually recorded after the fact. HIT will enable multiple participants to be “wirelessly present” at the white board with their own HIT-enabled Smart Phone/mobile device, allowing all user input to be captured, tracked and recorded. The HIT system can be networked into other locations via the Internet, enabling remote collaboration. Because HIT is a software-only solution, it is fully portable, easy to deploy and delivers low cost of ownership.
Using HIT, Interactive White Board users can make notes, ask questions and participate in the discussion, without leaving their seat. By capturing, tracking and saving each individual user’s input, HIT software will transform Interactive White Boards into true multi-user collaborative tools. HIT will facilitate multi-user dialog and input – while helping to eliminate the tedious process of manually inputting meeting notes.

In addition to creating its own application integrations, Hand Eye Technologies plans to make HIT tools available to the software development community.
Hand Eye foresees a significant market opportunity in enabling software authors to leverage the HIT platform – by building Smart Phone/mobile device interactivity and collaboration into their own applications.
